There are many versions of the Ofsted inspection tracker on the internet now so I have decided to longer update this one.

I hope those of you who have used it over the first term of the new framework have found it useful.

Below I have added a link to a tracker I have been updating with Secondary Ofsted inspections under the new framework.

It isn’t linked to my research interests as such, but with my focus on how national and local policy making can impact upon certain demographics more than others it is interesting to see what is happening during inspections since a lot of what schools do (despite us all saying we shouldn’t do it) is to please Ofsted.

Particularly I have been looking at the curriculum models of the schools and how long their KS3 is. On the whole it does not look favourable for schools with a 2 year KS3. Schools with a 3 year KS3 or that are transitioning to a 3 year KS3 are more likely to gain a Good overall rating.
